Adenomyosis

Endometriosis is a common health condition in which tissue similar to thelining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. Like the uterine lining, this tissue thickens and bleeds during each menstrual cycle. However, because it is located outside the uterus, the blood has no way to exit the body. This can lead to pain, swelling, and sometimes thedevelopment of scar tissue.
